Mapping the Future by Safeguarding the Past

About Mapping Kent

Founded in 2008, Mapping Kent is a new venture based in Faversham, Kent, and is run by Tim and Emma Carter.

Working closely with local historians, archaeologists and other partners, Mapping Kent hopes to preserve the historical records of Kent's past, by using new technology to restore, record and make these important artefacts more accessible.

To date, the team has worked very closely on the Forgotten Frontline project, involving a wide variety of partners, culminating in a well received exhibition at the Whitstable Museum.

The Mapping Kent team is now pursuing opportunities to extend this project work, and hopes to be involved in a range of community projects over the forthcoming months and years.
